Kennedy's Abortion Rhetoric.

"Referring to abortion, [Ted Kennedy] said Democrats should not yield on a woman's right to choose, but should also acknowledge that 'we are a better society when abortions are rare.'"

I wonder what his reasoning is that we are better off when abortions are rare? Are we better off when plastic surgery is rare? Or hair cuts? If not, what's the difference? Inquring minds want to know.
